The
Brewers Association of Maryland (BAM) is a non-profit trade association founded
in 1996, comprised of active Maryland breweries and brewpubs. The mission of BAM is to foster and
promote the Maryland world-renowned brewing industry.
BAM
currently sponsors two annual Beer Festivals; Springfest at Harry Grove Stadium
in Frederick, and Maryland Oktoberfest at Timonium Fairgrounds in
Timonium. BAM encourages
responsible enjoyment of Maryland beer and all alcoholic beverages by legal age
adults.
The brewing
industry in Maryland got its start in 1703 in Annapolis, MD by Benjamin
Fordham. Since then, over 50
breweries have opened in Maryland and BAM is committed to continuing the proud
tradition of craftbrewing world class beers.
Maryland craft breweries have received numerous awards and medals at beer festivals and Competitions throughout the US and worldwide.
