Hosted by the Maryland Distillers Guild; open to all craft beverage producers.
This January 30th, 2pm-5pm, workshop will include:
Alice Blayne-Allard, Owner, Free State Cooperage – the anatomy of a locally-sourced and produced barrel
Eli Breitburg-Smith, Distiller, Baltimore Spirits Company – barrel repair and maintenance
Braeden Bumpers, Distiller, McClintock Distilling – wood sugar extraction, chemical alteration of amino acids and volatile evaporation
Sagamore Spirit– barrel finishing and cogener extraction
Coffee and light refreshments will be provided. After the workshop there will be a convoy of folks heading out for happy hour at a local establishment.
There is paid street parking and the Carroll Creek & Patrick Street Parking Garages are less than two blocks away.
Proceeds from this event go directly to creating additional educational workshops, seminars and learning experiences for craft beverage producers. Hosted by the MDG Education Committee and McClintock Distilling.
