As the craft beer industry continues to grow in Maryland, we’d like to congratulate a few of our members celebrating the opening of their new breweries or new brewery locations.
Guinness Open Gate Brewery & Barrel House | Halethrope, MD | August 3, 2018, 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Guinness opens its brand-new taproom and brewery experience to the public on Friday, August 3, 2018. As Guinness’s first American brewery since the 1950’s, the new Guinness Open Gate Brewery & Barrel House will serve as a destination for beer enthusiasts and tourists.
While this Maryland brewery will not brew any of the Guinness stouts, this new brewery will host dozens of limited-release and one-off releases bearing the Guinness brand while also serving as the production brewery for Guinness Blonde Lager.
Cult Classic Brewing Company | Stevensville, MD | August 3, 2018, 10:00 am – 10:00 pm
Managing partners, and brothers, Jesse and Brooks McNew will open their brewery and taproom to the public this week. After founding and opening Annapolis Home Brew in 1997, the McNew brothers sought out opportunities to brew “more beer for everyone.”
Olde Mother Brewing Company | Frederick, MD | August 3, 2018, 3:00 pm
Olde Mother Brewing Company is hosting the grand opening of their new brewery location in Historic Downtown Frederick. After operating for nearly three years in their original location, co-owners Nick and Keith have built out a larger facility that will afford them the opportunity to offer a different guest experience and increase their production to meet demand.
The Downtown Frederick Partnership will be on hand for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 3:00 pm.
House Cat Brewing | Frederick, MD
House Cat Brewing had a soft-opening last weekend and is now open to the public on Saturday (12:00 pm – 10:00 pm) and Sunday (12:00 pm – 7:00 pm). Boasting a rotation of wood-aged beer, House Cat Brewing will feature beers celebrating tart and funky characteristics.
