If you love craft beer, FeBREWary is the month for you!
What is FeBREWary?
FeBREWary is the official month-long celebration of Maryland craft beer. Maryland is a bubbling craft beer destination. The state is home to farm breweries, brewpubs, and manufacturing breweries. Whether you are a Maryland resident or a tourist planning a craft beer getaway, FeBREWary is the perfect time to visit and explore Maryland’s breweries.
What’s On Tap For FeBREWary 2020?
The Brewers Association of Maryland is highlighting women in beer. Women from 10 Maryland breweries gathered to produce a celebration beer. “Suffragette Stout” salutes the 100th anniversary of women’s right to vote. Brewed at Denizens Brewing Company, this beer will be tapped at a select group of breweries. The breweries that participated in this collaboration include: Astro Lab Brewing, B.C. Brewery, Brawling Bear, Calvert Brewing Company, Checkerspot Brewing, Denizens Brewing Company, Manor Hill Brewing, Milkhouse Brewery at Stillpoint Farm, Mully’s Brewery, and Ten Eyck Brewing Company.
Be sure to visit the numerous Maryland breweries that are woman-owned, operated, or produced! Our “Women In Beer” trail can be found HERE.
Every year, Maryland breweries are challenged to brew a limited-release “Cupid’s Curse” beer. These diverse beers are unique to the brewery that brews them. Details about these beers are kept quiet until they are released in FeBREWary.
“Love Thy Beer” is the official FeBREWary event. Hosted by the Brewers Association of Maryland, this event showcases winter beers. Breweries from across the state bring their Cupid’s Curse releases to Love Thy Beer. Here, they compete to take home the coveted cupid trophy!
Breweries and beer stores across the state will host events all month long. For example, beer releases, tastings, and pairing events are all fun things to do. To see what is on tap this FeBREWary, check out the events calendar:
