Maryland Senate Committee Advances Franchise Reform Legislation

March 8, 2019—The Maryland Senate Education, Health and Environmental Affairs Committee unanimously voted to take a significant first step to reforming Maryland’s beer franchise law. The Brewers Association of Maryland is reviewing the details, but this advancement is welcome news. It is an important step forward. We will continue to work to change Maryland’s law for all Maryland brewers, while resisting any effort to go below the levels set by the Senate committee.
