At a time when Maryland breweries such as Heavy Seas and Flying Dog are expanding up and down the East Coast — and even beyond — Ken and Matt Praay of Monument City Brewing Co. are perfectly fine sticking to Maryland.
The brothers and business partners recently started Monument City, opening up a new taproom and brewing facility in Highlandtown earlier this year, and have begun growing their distribution in the Baltimore area. But they don’t see themselves looking outside of Maryland’s borders for additional growth.
