Rebecca Dulka, BAM Event Manager, will host a BEST Alcohol Certification Program for our breweries and their employees.
Tuesday, March 15th, 9am-1pm: Jailbreak Brewing, Suite F, 9445 Washington Blvd, North Laurel 20723
Maryland Law:
- All licensed premises to have at least one certified individual – statewide.
- Requires breweries to have one certified person on site at all times. Harford, Howard, Kent, Montgomery and Washington counties, as well as City of Annapolis.
- Requires one certified person to supervise your tent at events at all times. Frederick County/Maryland Craft Beer Festival
Information about the training:
- Maryland’s BEST (Beverage Education & Server Training) is a four-hour alcohol awareness certification program, written specifically by Maryland hospitality professionals. It’s sponsored through the Restaurant Association of MD, and is pretty much the same thing as TIPs and TAM, and can be used interchangeably. MD’s BEST meets all the requirements for responsible alcohol service training as required by Article 2B of the Annotated Code of MD, and is accepted by ALL counties.
