Since I’m logged in, and just received another brewery reservation request, I thought I would ask if anyone else has been involved in this scam. Looks like the scammer wants to reserve our brewery and I’m sure some shady payment will be involved down the road. I thought it was pretty ingenious at first but now I just received another reservation request and it’s becoming annoying. Things that threw up the red flag were fake email addresses, bad formatting of the message, broken english in the message, and specifics of what would be involved. The first guy wanted like 290 16 ounce pours or something along those lines. Just wanted to know if anyone else has run into this and wanted to give everyone a head’s up to what might happen to them.

Also asked us for specific costs on 190 16oz pours. We responded to try and get more info from them on what their plans were for this party, ages of guests, if they wanted food, etc. but haven’t gotten a response since. Don’t really understand what kind of scam this would be or what they could possibly gain but thank you for posting this in here. We had a feeling this might be something shady.

favor i will be needing from you is that I will like you to add an
additional $2700 plus 3% card charges to the total cost which you will
charge on my credit card as payment for the driver that will be bringing
all the guest for the birthday party and when payment clears into your
account you will deduct the cash and send to the party bus driver via
cash deposit as his charges for handling the transport of my guest to the
birthday at your Brewery. I would have preferred to sort his payment by
myself but he does not accept credit card and I am presently in the
hospital scheduled for surgery for my hearing impaired condition.I am
willing to pay a tip of $100 for your time if you could assist with this
favorI thought it was pretty fishy and told the person we would have to settle their tab at time of service. We have yet to hear back.
Stay vigilant!
