The idea of Pickett Brewing Company began in a garage outside Baltimore in 2017. While the space was small, our community grew quickly. If the overhead door was open, friends and neighbors knew they could stop in to taste the latest creations. As we introduced more people to our beer, they started talking about their favorites and asking for specific Pickett beers again. With the support of our loyal fans we knew we were on to something.
After putting a tentative plan in place, we started the hunt for the right spot to make it happen. Finding a location proved to be a challenge. We wanted a brewery space that had the same open-door vibe that we created in the garage. In a city known for its neighborhoods, we knew we could find the right spot, we just had to be patient. In late 2020, our opportunity finally arose when an industrial building in Baltimore’s Pigtown neighborhood became available. It provides the perfect space for a larger brewhouse to make the dream of expanding our group of beer drinking friends a reality. It’s not just the space, but the community surrounding it that makes it the perfect home for Pickett Brewing Company.
