Partner with the Oyster Recovery Project (ORP) for an oyster fest at your brewery!
This partnership would include:
ORP’s mobile oyster bar at their event or tasting. They will provide guests with the freshest, tastiest shucked-to-order oysters. This would serve as an exciting, added draw to potential guests — bringing in new customers, boosting wine sales and securing repeat consumers.
ORP rep speaking about oysters. To add to the experience, staff will speak with guests about the wild and farmed oyster industry, as well as efforts underway to restore the Chesapeake Bay population—including what we do with the shell after it’s recycled. (Features signage, hands-on visuals of spat on shell and how oysters grow).
Promotion of the brewery and event throughout the month. ORP would feature its partner brewery throughout the month as being a sustainable option, highlighting what makes that beer unique, and sharing how their product best pairs with oysters. This would include promotion on social media and our monthly newsletter.
With this, we would encourage breweries to donate a portion of proceeds from every pint sold throughout that month.
We have experimented with this model at a local brewery and it was a hit! The business saw a ton of new faces and guests really enjoyed the intimate experience — chatting with ORP staff and fellow oyster-lovers, while learning more about how shell goes from “plate to reef.”
